Not 100%. Charlie is of the opinion that it should have taped out well over a month ago. Given that they are starting to talk about it, I strongly suspect they have functional silicon.

The big clue I saw that indicates that K8L exists in silicon is the big Cray Teraflop design win. Unlikely that would be committed to without some silicon.
