Surprisingly, I find myself agreeing with you, though I wouldn't give Bush the credit for picking his team. I'm sure that was done for him.

I thought the Republicans ran a campaign based on fear and deception, and the Democrats just came across as dunderheads. The only exception was John Edwards, who in my opinion solidly trounced Cheney in their debate. The Democrats ran a stupid campaign, no question. They're going to have to figure out that the one thing a candidate needs to win in this country is to come across well on television. Specifically, he or she has to be perceived as likeable.

Gore and Kerry were two redwoods in a row.
