The GOP is desperately trying to find anyone corrupt who happens to be a democrat. That is what the "law firm scandal" is about. And today's Reid story (which is no big deal). Maybe Jefferson too, though he really is corrupt, though a lone wolf.

This doesn't change the fact that 98% of the corruption in DC is on the GOP rightwing. Abramoff and DElay alone are huge-huge mountains of corruption which are linked together. The Cunningham scandal is far-reaching. Then all the WMD's lies, energy gouging, health care gouging, Frist's insider trading, the phony charities of Frist, DElay and Santorum, how the smearvets were funded, on and on it goes. Very deep.

The entire Kerry campaign was clean as a whistle. Taking money from a huge law firm which does something bad somewhere else is not a problem for Kerry. He had nothing to do with whatever lawsuit fraud they might have been committing. Also, law firms give to both parties, but more to DEms in 2004 since Bush-Cheney were BS'ing about "trial lawyers" being the problem. That's Bush-Cheney trying to defend polluters and corporate manufacturers of deadly products like asbestos from liability.
