It's a great irony- whether the admiral posted it, or someone else engineered it. Irony is a lovely thing, no matter where it comes from- even these:

rofl

and

"The U.S. and its allies have prevailed"

I get a chuckle out of so much of this rhetoric. Too bad there are real lives on the line, though.

No banner at a government-only Presidential event is conceived and erected by anybody except the White House staff. It may have been the admiral's idea but it was vetted by the advance team and signed off on, probably at chief of staff level for an event of that magnitude.

Script, script, script. The Beltway crowd worship it and never deviate. Why be real when you can stay on message, LOL?
