It's about time to "liberate" Saudi Arabia.

No need to go as far as to a Great White to understand the risk of getting too close to them. Check in with the September Halibut Derby up in Homer, Alaska.

Those monsters, albeit "friendly" halibuts only, are killed using a shot gun while still hanging in the crane well outside the boat. A full 350 pounds of powerful halibut can do a lot of harm to you by one fast sweep of their tail ;)

Catch and release isn't that great on a fish either. How would you like to be hooked in the mouth and dragged for a few hundred feet behind a car? Then thrown back into traffic to fend against on coming cars in a weakened state.
Great fun heh?

"When are people going to realize that its better to catch them, take a photo and then release them?"

Catch and release isn't going to work with sharks like a Great White or a Hammerhead. Much less Tigers. It isn't easy to distract their attention from the task of eating you long enough to get the hook out. I certainly wouldn't want to be within several meters of a full grown, live Great White or Hammerhead without some serious armor. Those things are serious about their meals.

Well, then, I guess we'll just kill them off.
