I seriously doubt that when he wrote that to the newspaper that he was thinking...this will help me in my race for L. Governor...four years in the future.

Another rightwing stretch.

Sorta.

In combat, Kerry was one bullet away from death. Political ambition was not why he volunteered for combat. He did so because he was raised to be courageous and was an expert boatman, marksman and athlete, not to mention an expert pilot.

The insinuation that Kery was a combat hero because he wanted to "brag" about it 35 years later is ridiculous and an insult to any combat vet. Also, Kerry never brags. I've personally spoken to him about his Vietnam experience and he is very humble about it, despite all his very real heroics.

Yet another smearvet lie exposed (by conservative newspaper investigation). Do a search and you'll find hundreds of rightwing websites bald-faced lying about Kerry not receiveing an honorable discharge in 1970. Here are the facts by conservative pro-Bush newspaper the Washington Times.

Leson being, just because the lie is repeated on 500 rightwing sites doesn't make it at all true.
