Nope, not good enough. Certain protocol must be observed: When presenting the subpoena the heads must be bowed at the proper angle, certain verbal formulae must be intoned as they enter the office, incense, while not strictly necessary is a respectful accompaniment. These are Congresspersons not ordinary folk.

Does the House or Senate have to answer a subpoena from the Justice Department?
