Democrats have no significant corruption issues these days. The Jefferson case is isolated and he did that on his own. I say put him in jail with all the rest of the corrupt bastards, including all the Delay, Abramoff and Cunningham associates. Those are the real crooks. The biggest crimes by far are how the GOP congress and Whiten House allowed Big Energy and Big HMO/Pharmas to gouge us for hundreds of billions, plus the fraudulent war profiteering in Iraq, especially by Halliburton. Plus all kinds of other corporate handouts and pork barrel corruption. All that makes Jefferson look like a shoplifter. The law firm thing looks like a non-story. But the rightwing is trying to pump it up to disguise their much bigger instutiutional corruption.
