Allentown is closer to Philly than Pittsburgh.. nice country side town - get a real nice home cooked style breakfast, not the McD kind... visited friends there many times when I live in that area...

friends would be happy to live in Allentown [though not somebody who was offered an actual job there].

U'd be interested in knowing that on the outskirts of Allentown, is a town called Bethlehem. A friend lives there and works there - his biz - import stuff from China, and sell in US. Hes doing better than OK...

by somebody who grew up in Pittsburgh, which is not all that far away

Just on the other end of a big state, Mq. :)

Allentown is an old steel town on the edge of the coal country in east central PA. It is the very same Allentown as in the Billy Joel song "Allentown". The place is sad as the song.
