Some one way up the ladder is the enabler.

I think Colbert said they are the "decider" = "enabler" whats the difference?

Why is it that that someone needs home loans made to people who just don't qualify?

The "decider" probably decided his party needed some VOTES this next election - so he bought the poor people with cheap loans so they could live la vida loca until november. After the votes are won - screw the people who gave them probably.

And while they are at it saying in the press they are tightening up on one side while loosening lending standards at the same time.

Ah our wonderful press corps - what can be added to the slam colbert gave them. The people got what they wanted - a bunch of lies from lying liars.
