because single cells maybe 'aware'??

If single cells are holding enough thoughts to have a feedback loop, then what is the mechanism for storing those thoughts?

By means of 'signal transduction' from OUTSIDE the cell, no? ....
There seem to be a lot of potential for evolution other than just genes and their organization on the DNA strand


Essentially NO!. Events outside the cell don't contribute to evolution unless their become part of the genome (say a retro-virus). Shepards have been cutting the tails off lambs for thousands of years, but they still get born with tails.
