No projecting is necessary. (and more personal remarks from you- in diagnosing "projecting". Can you stop now, please?)

I'm not the one comparing you to unfavorable cartoon characters, so how could I possibly be projecting? I'm not comparing you to anything, nor am I diagnosing you with anything.

As for the other, it's clear that I did NOT say those specific words were in the speech. I said Mr. Lucky left out the quote that Lane 3 found that she (and I) think is equivalent to mission accomplished- if you read the sequence of posts it's clear I am referring to that. Lane 3 posted a very specific quote- and it is quite clear the reference is to that. I found it interesting that he left the quote out.

This is the post:

Message 22499537

To which I said:

Message 22499675

because I think the two expressions are basically equivalent (Lane 3 said it first, I just agree with her)- ergo, in the rest of the discussion I treat the two expressions as equivalent. Nothing more to it than that.

So no, I didn't "switch" anything. But feel free to keep trying to prove I did. Do (in future) leave the Red Queen references (and any other unfavorable comparisons) at the door though. They really aren't appropriate here. TIA

You switched from stating that the words "mission accomplished" were in the speech

This discussion has gotten really weird. I got curious and did a search on "mission" and I don't find any such assertion. Were there one, I could understand your issue.
