John Kerry was a real hero and he has every right to make his combat heroism an important part of his qualifications, especially during war-time when we have a draft-dodger president who lied to the nation to take us to war. Bob Dole also made his service a centerpiece. McGovern failed to and it cost him. McGovern was as big a hero as any of these guys. McCain also uses his combat heroism and POW experience as a centerpiece. All these combat heros have a perfect right to do so and we should all honor them, not slander and lie about them.
