Sounds like an interesting read. I did several North Atlantic runs which were the big top secret chase the Russian's kind of op back in my day. Can get a little hairy up there in those days. My boat was a Cadillac compared to a diesel but rather primitive by todays standards. In fact mine is gone and in razor blades or some such deal. mcguinnessonline.com One of my jobs actually was running the atmospheric equipment such as the O2 generator, or bomb as it was affectionately called, the CO2 scrubber and the CO/H2 burners. We smoked and everything and always had good air unlike the diesels.
