Kerry was the original prosecutor of BCCI, tougher than Morganthau was and pushed him hard to dig deeper. Kerry was the real catalyst. Kerry berated Morganthau for now investigating BCCI aggressively enough. When Morganthau started the case it was Kerry's report he read to brief himself on what it was all about. Kerry started it and finished it.

I have the book on it right in front of me, so don't bother BS'ing. Kerry was THE MAN on BCCI busting.
