BTW, did you buy BOC?

Say, if this chartist is correct then $XAU:$GOLD could have a major bottom in April 2007.

First chart on this page:
stockcharts.com[s50024159]&disp=O

April is seasonally weak and by 2007 the stock market could be in a funk over a recession, so I suppose an environment of high bullion prices and possibly oversold miners' share prices would not be so unreasonable.

The shares should provide leverage...it seems so far he hedgies have had the most fun with this trade. So do we play their game? Long bullion short miners?

We have discussed this before but it does seem to be the best way to isolate market risk and have a leveraged trade on that risk.

US has no now got it. Bush admin knows that if they engage Iran diplomatically they take away Russia, China and the EU out of the equation. And they want to weakkent he US and are using the Iranian card.

The Iranian regime come out 'strong' because they didn't cow tow. They talked tough and they showed their 'stature'. This will appease the locals.

Truth is: Iran is in shambles. Everything there is 70's vintage. They need modernization. The embargo won;t allow them to modernize. They pay everything very expensive because it has to diverse channel to by-pass the embargo.

They know they are economically losing. The US knows that without Iran will be impossible to pacify Iraq.

It is everything here:
