It very well could have been big and strong because of global warming though. I don't think anyone said it was the result of warming- I think what people have said is that it was (possibly) larger and stronger because of warming oceans. That's a different thing to say. You keep stating something else, as if people say it that way- and I haven't seen any scientist say it that way (or Al Gore, for that matter).
