So it doesn't miss my point. Maybe there is another point out there, but it wasn't a point I was interested in.

Over-the-top material is what's of interest to me.

I think that where Gore and company are over the top is in suggesting a nexus between the disaster in NO and global warming. They're like "look at the disaster in NO--look what global warming produces" and I think that's too much. I don't care if they distort via assertions or suggestions or implications or enthymematic argumentation or the juxtaposition of video. It's deceptive hype, regardless of the mechanism.
