I think most Americans are in agreement on reducing or eliminating illegal immigration. The only arguement is how and what is DOABLE. I for instance, support the Minutemen, the fence concept, troops on the border and all. However, I also agree with President Bush that it is impossible to deport 11 million people thus we might as well come up with a program that legalizes their status and is an economic gain to the USA. I also think we need to CRACK DOWN on employers that hire illegals. That would probably lead to many going home on their own, although the danger is that if they cant support themselves legally they may turn to crime or welfare. I doubt we are going to allow people to starve in our streets. jdn
