The GPU could still access its own exotic local memory, using HTT as a high bw low latency link between GPU/CPU. It would make GPUs more amenable to general-purpose acceleration, especially if it used cHTT.

Good point. High end GPU could benefit from fast HT link, and maybe make its resources available to some kind of either general purpose or specialized processing.

But what I thought about more was a low end to mainstreem GPU to replace the integrated graphics solutions that dominate this market.
