combjelly,

Actually, for a gamer, an interesting aspect is to get a fast-clocked single core with a motherboard like this. Then, when more games support dual core, buy a second.

Except, AMD is not selling them (only goes up to 4000, was 2.4 GHz, 1 MB, will be 2.6 GHz, 512K).

The implication of this is that there is more than 1 HT link available in AM2 socket (something I was complaining loudly about just a couple of days ago) which is a good thing.

The confusing thing is if this is the case and there are at least 2 links available in Socket AM2, why is NVidia indicating that both of its chips (one for heach PCI-Express channel for SLI) connected to a single HT link?
