Uh, no, Petz, it really does matter how you calculate it. :)

Take the QC case. If 65nm and the K8L provided nothing at all performance wise, DC to DC, they could still compare DC to QC and make that claim, if perf is measured right.

Basically, that slide needs a HUGE number of details filled in to be worth anything.

Re: No matter how you calculate it, the 2007 AMD lineup will have 40+% greater peformance per watt than the *current* Core 2 lineup.

If a 2.93GHz 80W Conroe XE is 1.25x faster than a 2.8GHz 125W FX-62 then the Conroe will have a 95% performance/watt lead over Athlon 64 FX. All of a sudden a 60% performance/watt increase doesn't sound so impressive any more.
