Petz, generally companies try to brag about "progress stats" like this, which is why one needs to see the "footnotes" on these claims to make them meaningful. As it stands, the claim is too vague-- what is being compared is not narrowed down enough:

No definition of performance.
No specification of either the 2006 or 2007 system.

Where was your complaints of Intel when they did the exact same thing? Give links to them.

Doug, As it stands, the claim is too vague-- what is being compared is not narrowed down enough: They probably aren't sure enough to make concrete projections. Even if they were, the nth degree of transparency would be irresponsible. But you already know this.
