Here is the more likely outcome: Iran galvanizes support in the region for strong anti-american policies. The recycling of petro dollars dries up and the hundreds of billions of investment money from Arab oil goes elsewhere. The supply of oil becomes more influenced by a radical Muslim political agenda. We end up with oil well over $100 per barrel and are unable to attract the capital to fill our current account deficit while losing whatever is left of our influence in the region. They get rich, we starve and they grow stronger by the day -- that is the more likely outcome of US military action on Iran. It is probably why they seem to want it.
