hastert should give up speaker seat before elections gives more room for republicans to say they are changing their ways of spending , crime etc.

Regardless of precedent and the separation of powers, 86 percent say the FBI should be allowed to search a Congress member's office if it has a warrant.

When the chips are down, I always give thanks to the Founding Fathers that they built a Constitutional Republic rather than a pure democracy.

Not that I am dissing "the people" -- but the Constitution was crafted by cool heads, not the man on the street.
