TP, The issue seemed to be pretty much under the radar until that bill was passed. Jim is right. Certain representatives in the House were getting pummeled by their anti-illegal immigration constituents and had to take action. Just becase the issue stayed under the radar all those years doesn't mean that people weren't pissed off about it. Add in Homeland Security fears, as well as fears of a sputtering economic recovery, and you'll eventually reach the boiling point. Calling it another diversion by Rove is an exercise in intellectual laziness. Tenchusatsu
