Exxon is already putting $1 tax on gas, it's called gouging.
But that money should be going into the public coffers so we can afford to build a new clean fuels infrastructure and give people incentives to save energy and switch to clean non-Arab fuels.

Jim, Where's the guy that wants to throw another $1 tax on gas to slow consumption?

He's out producing a movie entitled, "An Inconvenient Truth."

Of course, in 2000 when Gore released part of the SPR to buy votes in the Northeast, gas prices were about to exceed $1.50/gal. Talk about an "inconvenient truth."
