So, you will withhold your opinion on those widely documented and reported, recent, very public statements. Those statements attributed to the highest authorities of Iran, even doubting their 'veracity'. You worry that there may be some vast conspiracy to present these comments in a distorted context and you don't want to take the risk of having falsely judged someone, even though the overwhelming evidence appears to leave no doubt for all who have considered this matter up to now. Yet you still leave some room for consideration... which would be some sort of 'taking to task.'

That sir, certainly seems to be a very high standard of personal honor. I commend you for it.

However, without hesitation you condemn all statements as lies coming from the most checked and balanced administrator of our land, representing the highest position of honor in our country, with little or no substantive evidence that they are actually false.

You doubt the word of the person acting in the interests of your nation and sworn to protect you, while embracing honor and consideration with regards to the words of those persons swearing to annihilate you, hesitating to consider them as malicious ... odd.
