but they can price their parts much lower, make more and kick P-D right down. Core 2 will not satisfy the whole market instantly and anything under $300 AMD will clean up on as the competition there will be ~2GHz 2MB Conroes and P-Ds. It also happens to be where the real volume is so AMD will just ease into that space if forced to. It just won't be as simple as you think, it's a 3-way dynamic occuring here and AMD has the volume on one of the not least desirable parts ;-).
