" what happened to those August 65nm shipments you were calling for?"

I guess they've decided not to rush matters as current product lineup is generating ample revenues...I must say, 30% of the server space by the end of the year relieves AMD of any urgency in rushing 65nm product to market. Quite the opposite case for its competitor I'd say ;-)

With the plan unveiled today, including the Kill-a-Watt handouts that you seem to be avoiding and the coprocessor initiative, that 33% market share in 2008 does look doable, even in the face of the vaunted, in your mind, Conroe hype.

Just not looking too good for INTC over the next couple of years as evidenced by Otellini's panic-mode restructuring efforts.

Your vaunted Conroe may mitigate customer erosion, assuming it comes close to the yield/performance specs you seem to so blindly accept upon faith. I think that may be why AMD is being so conservative in calling for 33% share in 2008 as opposed to 50%.

Lord help INTC if Conroe yields are in the toilet, 'cause then AMD likely surpasses 50% share in 2008 :-)
