Let's assume aclu get donations from Foundation Grants... Foundation grants lobby congress for federal funds. parts of those funds are then grants going to aclu. aclu statement is correct.. they do not get money directly from federal gov. however, i expect money being grant to them from foundations have in themselves received direct federal funds and are passing onto aclu some of those funds in the way of a grant. shouldn't aclu take the statement further and not accept any grant money from foundations that receive federal funds.
