Bush was even more dishonest. We should start at the top and work down. Kerry is not worth discussing ad nauseum. Bush is the President and he's been more dishonest than Kerry.

The question that Mathews asked Kerry was dishonest. He said that Bush has released all of his records, will you, Kerry, sign the form 180 to release your records?

Kerry said he would do that. And he did sign two 180's for two reporters.

Problem with that question is that Bush had not released his records. No form 180.

Kerry has had more disclosure of his records than Bush. He kept his word to the degree that the question was honestly asked.

If you look up the pee hole long enough you'll get pee in your eye tonto.

Bush's Guard records are missing from most of 1971. That is the year he didn't show up for duty after avoiding a mandatory drug test and being grounded. It's also the year he mysteriously showed up in Houston doing inner city public service for the poor. Very unlike Bush.

It could be that was the condition of a swept-under-the-rug cocaine arrest. This arrest was reported in the book "Fortunate Son". Before the book came out the Bush family intimidated the publisher not to release it. Nine months later the author was found dead of an apparent suicide.

(* I had a rich kid pal in 1974 who was busted for cocaine. His family got that one swept under the rug so he wouldn't have any record. The rich/powerful can do this.)

So maybe there's a reason Rove planted the phony evidence on Dan Rather to try and kill the whole investigation into 1971.

As for Kerry, he has no secrets. His entire military career has been investigated 1000 times by all kinds of people and nobody's ever found any credible evidence he was anything but a near-perfect military phenom and selfless combat hero. Every single smearvet claim has been proven untrue by unbiased independent investigations.

Kerry is extremely honest. We have been through this before, but the rightwing cannot find a single lie in Kerry's entire career, just an exaggeration or two. Every politician exaggerates in every single speech.

Rove always attacks opponents' strengths not their weaknesses. But since Kerry is so honest and a bonda fide amazing combat hero, Rove just had his people make up lies. Hundreds of them. Everything but the kitchen sink. Even murder and sleeping with an intern. All 100% BS.
