More and more people have given up under Bush than any time before. Under Clinton employment numbers were much more solid, even amongst black teenagers. Also wages are flat and benefits and job security down under Bush.

Also, I don't trust the Bush Labor department. They're the ones who tried to re-classify McJobs as "sandwich manufacturing jobs" to hide the fact US manufacturing jobs continue hemmoraging away to the third world.

Also, much of the Bush "jobs boom" is in construction and security/military. Greenspan caused the housing boom with his 1% interest rates, but that's all over now.

Plus, Bush's almost trillion bucks a year in deficit spending accounts for many of the jobs, many in the military area related to war spending which is 100% on the credit card.
So it's all not as bright as it looks. Clinton on the other hand, had everything paid for.
