Point well taken. People see what they want to. Our government was "falling apart" when Clinton was in office, it is "falling apart" while Bush is in office, but our lifes go on, extremely well...for the most part.

Very well said. The US prestige in the world has sagged so low that currently the leadership position among the nations of the world is vacant. I say so after seeing what is happening with Iran where the initiative has been wrested away from the US by the three European nations.

The US rose to world leadership by wielding the stick without having to use it. But today we use it at the drop of a hat. Like Saddam, Iran is today luring the US for a military solution. I hope Bush does not make the same mistake as he did with Iraq. We just have to wait and see if he would be that stupid.
