Another possibility is that the new notebook part is just Rev G, which may already implement separate voltage planes for North Bridge and core... Timing would fit.

what must be worrying the guys at intel to no end is that regardless of how lame the current Turion X2 is in comparison to what is just over the hill, it is also taking gobs of market share from intel. Given what it is, it has been an amazing success so far. Just imagine what is coming early next year...must be keeping paul o. up at night.
