i watched the show. seems the 6pm pbs show now has more extended interviews like the old days. cover three subjects vs five or six. what happen was congress cut home security budget by poor memory but couple hundred million? next ny got 19% of the budget in the prior years and this time got 18%. Home security called in non political representatives from the states to review all proposals submitted and nominated by those state representatives.. head of home security said nyc did a poor job identifing requrements for money based on projects. pay overtime for cops for example. one thing for certain nystate would have stacked against it is more representation from other states so more votes against it. Money went to other cities that identified real need for security projects and some of these cities hadn't received money in prior years. Now you got those who want a more federal money screaming and nyc or nystate still got the most money out of any other locations. King i believe on the committee that overseas these budgets and he should be held accountable to explain why congress cut funds not home security. ps trenton nj was a winner and got more money.
