Norway is the third largest exporter of oil in the world but Norwegians pay some of highest prices at the gas pump. Coincidently, or maybe not so coincidently, Norway has one of the highest standards of living in the world

You can find a country with high gas prices and a decent economy. Then you try to imply that high gas prices and high gas taxes cause a decent economy. What a pathetic argument.

Norway has one of the highest standards of living in the world and one of the soundest economies in the world......beating out this country hands down.

Norway's standard of living does not beat out this country hands down. Its per capita GDP is very similar to the America's.

Its 2005 economic growth rate was lower

But still its doing pretty well. In addition to its large per capita GDP its rated in the top 10 on economic competitiveness.
