Yeah, yeah. Beyond that, though, folks are concerned with the future, so if trimming headcount is a good move, they'll be more than happy to take a one-time charge to achieve future cost savings.

Yes, Intel just got through saying that there wouldn't be layoffs, attrition was enough, and 2 weeks later we hear about 16K layoffs.

Q: DOes this imply that Intel received tremendous interest from OEMs on new Core 2 products?
