Carter is our greatest ex-president. A very honest and truly Christian man. No BS or pandering, just genuine goodness. Carter is a man we can truly trust. He also ushered in the New South which threw off the ugly shackles of racism and was the south's finest moment ever.

Carter made some mistakes but was mainly unlucky due to the failed rescue mission, the Arab oil embargo and the fall of the Shah. Also the huge deficits leftover from Vietnam spending plagued his years causing high interest rates.

But out of that he gave us clean energy, fuel efficiency standards and a way off Arab oil completely within ten years. reagan disbanded that entire program when he came into power.

Carter should be remembered very well by history.
