Stoppers those who's contracts have been asked for delivery.
Don't always accuse the French <vbg> although, it was Calyon Financial who dropped the first domino, Calyon is member of the Credit Agricole group.

Most intriging is that, although about 1/3rd of the known stocks have been given notice for delivery, the total warehouse stocks published by the Comex did not change a bit for the second day.
Could be that Calyon kept the the stocks where there are instead of taking them out of the market.
If that is so, we might see the birth of a new powerhouse and a musical chairs game.
What changed in the warehouse stocks report is a new warehouse with zero stocks named MANFRA, TORDELLA & BROOKES, INC.
and this would be for 1,7 mio oz. = same as Scotia and Brinks together.

(1/3rd of the stocks = about 10% of the total OI).
