Good post, Partytime. Someone needs to wake people like Anne Corrigan up. They believe in myths, lies, outdated prejudices and cynical rightwing spin. They are totally out of touch with reality and are hurting our country. The only ones they are helping are special interests like big oil who is busy gouging os mercilessly, corrupting our government, putting out fake scientific reports and polluting our environment.

PT, Bush made the correct decision to gain a foothold in the MidEast in order to lure alQaeda into a battleground on their own turf. The terrorists first choice for warfare was in the USA. U.S. marines have kept them distracted from that initial goal. The events of Sept 11 drew a line in the sand and any retreat on our party would have merely encouraged increased terrorism around the world. Wars are never conducted in an efficient, clear cut, constantly victorious manner...it's the nature of the beast for chaos to occur. However, we were attacked by determined radical islamists who won't be content until we are destroyed. Those who believe otherwise are living in a dream world. If we don't keep the pressure on them, you can count on another homeland attack.
