I had a similar situation with a stock in my etrade account, and it took a few days before the new symbol and price were listed. Though they were not restricte shares,

Probably just an issue of automation. If there is a symbol, it can trade... if no symbol... no trade.. It might be as simple as that. I love free money.

I don't hold this but, typically that means the shares are restricted and can't be traded.
