"Back to pre-Conroe? At the end of Q2 07? Not even close."

I overstated. But Intel looses their significant advantage. And that means they don't stand a prayer of owning 80%+ of the market. They might hold at 70%. Maybe less.

I doubt the K8L will arrive before mid-Q3. If it were on tap for any point in Q2, AMD would've said H107, instead of mid-2007 on Thursday, for spin reasons.

I'll say! Pre-conroe Intel had 4 CPU FABS running to AMD's 1.

About the time Conroe starts shipping AMD will be running volume from 3 CPU FABs to Intel's 4.

A world of difference, no doubt about it.
