Warner bashes bush at New Hampshire Democratic meeting

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Former Virginia governor and potential presidential hopeful Mark Warner was in New Hampshire again today, lashing out at the Bush administration for missing opportunities to bring the nation together in difficult times.

Speaking to the annual state meeting of New Hampshire Democrats, Warner says his biggest problem with the Bush administration is that the president has never asked the country to put politics aside and unite when faced with national catastrophies.

Warner says the terrorist attacks on Nine-Eleven, Hurricane Katrina and the war in Iraq would all have been good opportunities to promote unity -- but Bush failed.

He says, for example, that if Bush had suggested a move toward a new energy policy, Americans would have done their part. But he says the president never asked.

He also disagreed with U-S Senator Russ Feingold of Wisconsin's view that U-S troops need to be out of Iraq before the end of the year.

Says Warner -- quote -- going out without a plan is just as bad as going in without a plan -- end quote -- and the only way Iraq's new government will succeed is if Americans bring Iraq's neighbors to the table to help bring stability to the region.

the dems will never win another national election until they discover they are the reason for their losses...

I like Pelosi and Reid. I hope she remains the best the dems have, really I do.
