Two quick questions:

1) What makes ANY of it a *federal* matter? (Do you *like* having an ever BIGGER, ever more INTRUSIVE, ever more POWERFUL central government?)

Marriage has traditionally ALWAYS been a matter for the States.

2) Your 'a couple of guys' statement leaves the women out. Why? (There are as many gay women as there are gay men, I'm sure.) So, why forget them?

LOL

The religious conservative Muslim types in the Middle East share you distaste for homosexuals. They are just as quick as you to deny them equal rights.

I suspect a religious conservative is pretty similarly intolerant and closed minded be he Muslim or Christian.

In either religious view it is still ultimately God who has created homosexuals in the first place. Seems to me God is quite a joker whether you are Muslim or Christian.

Oddly it’s the conservatives on each side who are so quick to fight each other - even though really they are the same or same type of person.

One thing you can count on is a conservative will never see the irony of the positions he holds. Bush for instance wants to export American "freedom" where homosexuals are free to be discriminated against - the guy even wants to put discrimination in the Constitution.
