So BEFORE we declared war on and attacked Germany,

Let's not forget the sinking of the USS Reuben James.

The true-beleiving war hawks have done their best to equate Iraq with WWII, and to make Saddam a budding Hitler. Anyone with a brain knows the nearest comparison is Vietnam.

Vietnam, started with Johnson's Gulf of Tonkin lie, fought to support the "Domino Theory", a quagmire partial insurgency where our troops didn't speak the language and couldn't tell the good guys from the bad guys. Iraq may get us past the "Vietnam Syndrome" by replacing it with the "Iraq Syndrome"! I listened to Condi on "Face the Nation" today - blah blah blah, replace "Iraq" with "Vietnam" in her speechifying that things were getting better, we just need to be patient - and she could have been in a time warp.

In Nadine's case, if she thinks it's good for Israel, she really doesn't give a flip if it's good for the US.
