Gore would love to be drafted in 2008 so he wouldn't have to invest two years running around, raising money and competing non-stop with other democrats. There was even talk of a "draft Al" movement when Howard Dean seemed to be beating Kerry in 2004. He would have accepted then too. I would have been all for it because Dean would have lost 45 states.

With Gore's movie out, he has been getting a lot of press, but that's about to die down. If he didn't seize this rare opportunity to start running, he will never. Not this time, though I'm sure he'd love it if a deadlocked convention called on him to rescue the party. Like Hillary vs. Feingold or something, two unacceptable candidates tied and deadlocked.

But again, it's about Kerry and Warner in 2008, and no one else.
