Wild Willie~

yes, the wild kingdom can be like that.
it's a bug eat bug world out there.

and yes, mice behaviour is kinda bizarre
when the nest is disturbed.
i guess it's just their way of dealing
with a situation by instinct.

well, i had a good day today.
shot lots of photos of interesting insects,
such as fungus beetles
and a pair of mating moths
of a species i've been trying to photograph
for awhile.
just downloading my cameras as we speak
and will start sorting and editing images tonight.

this time of the year makes me almost frantic
to be outside shooting photos
for as much of the day as I can.
the images are like precious stones that i put away
in a vault until winter when i have time to enjoy
them at a more leisurely pace.
right now, it's more like "living in the middle of it"...
really enjoyable.
just wish the mosquitoes would disappear..
i just came in from making an end of the day
walk through the woods here at the farm
and now have about 20 big lumps to show for it.
ran out of neem spray and bought a new bottle today
but forgot to put it on before going out the door.
won't make that mistake again too soon!

Reminds me of the 3 foot "pet" snake that was lost inside our home for 4 months.... of course I did not know about it until years later. The "shedded" skin that was occassionally found under my bed, a closet, etc., was found at our ranch (so they told me at the time) as the boys were walking, looking for them.

There are many more untold stories, I feel sure, that I will never learn about, nor do I really want to know.
