5% today is equivalent to 12% in 1980. Debt levels are astronimical today compared to 1980. today is K cycle winter, 1980 was K cycle Spring/Summer.

Kind of hard to understand this statement. Who said anything about 12% rates now and who said anything about Iraqi bonds?
