The original primordial soup was not food for a world full of hungry creatures. A newly emerging lifeform would be in immediate competition.

It certainly should be.

I also don't understand a creationists problem with primordial soup idea personally, as I would think they would assume it would point to god when found.

It's all a question of was anyone stirring that soup ...
